It began in 2014 as a cover project of bands like Megadeth and Metallica. The excellent chemistry among the members motivated them to continue and stay together under the name Komodo.

At the beginning of 2015, Komodo premiered their first songs, "Out Of Luck" and "One More Fight," live at the Odebrecht Rock Festival, which led the band to win first place in the competition among 45 participating national bands. In the middle of the same year, Komodo produced their first professional single: "Out Of Luck."

Komodo produced a launch concert for the album and music video at the famous Hard Rock Café Panama, featuring months of work in production, lighting, and professional sound. The concert sold out all available tickets, reaching full capacity.

The Central American Final of the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle took place in Guatemala City on April 9, 2022, where Komodo emerged victorious in a contest against 6 Central American bands, earning a spot in the World Final of the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle to be held in August 2022 in Germany.

Komodo has released 5 new songs with music videos from 2023. As of now working towards new music and show dates outside of Panama.
